In Patintero: Shadow Runners, you sprint through the endless Fiesta Plaza, dodging obstacles and specialized Guardians. Your goal is to collect spirit orbs worth 25 points each and survive as long as possible. The game gets harder as you run further, with faster Guardians and more complex obstacles appearing every 120-meter wave. Every four waves, you draft a run-specific perk like Flow State or Shadow Velocity. A run ends when you lose all your hearts by getting tagged by Guardians or hitting obstacles.
Tips
- Time your slides and dashes within the 0.34-second window of a Guardian's attack to trigger a Perfect Dodge, boosting your style combo.
- Keep an eye out for extra lives, which have a 14 percent chance to spawn and can restore your health up to five hearts.
- Match your counter to the Guardian type: slide under Chargers, dash through Shooters, and jump over Shielded or Swarm enemies to survive.

How do I get a Perfect Dodge?
You must time your slide or dash within the exact 0.34-second window right as a Guardian attacks. This triggers a Perfect Dodge, increasing your style meter and multiplying your score.
What happens when I collect the sigil?
Once you collect the sigil at the Fiesta Shrine, you must return to the home gate to bank your round. Bank two rounds before the 65-second timer runs out to win.
How do I upgrade my runner permanently?
Collect coins during your runs to buy permanent upgrades in the Shadow Market. You can purchase Swift Soles for a 4 percent speed boost per rank, or Spirit Magnet to increase orb pickup reach.
