More about this game
In Clay Gear Swap, your goal is to connect the power from the engine on the left to the workshop machine on the right. You do this by swapping adjacent gear tiles on a 6x6 grid to form a continuous path. The game features 8 levels, each with a specific move limit based on the scramble depth plus a bonus of 2 moves. If you run out of moves before completing the connection, the machine stops and you must reset the board to try again.
Tips
- Use the Hint button if you get stuck; it highlights two gears that should be swapped for exactly 2.2 seconds.
- Plan your route carefully, as you only have 2 bonus moves above the minimum required to solve the puzzle.
- Work backwards from the machine or forwards from the engine to figure out which gears need to connect next.
Questions
How many levels are there in Clay Gear Swap?
There are 8 levels in total. Once you power up all eight toy machines, you complete the game and become a master clay tinkerer.
What happens if I run out of moves?
If your move counter reaches zero before the path is connected, the level fails. You can press the Reset button to scramble the board and try a new route.
Can I swap any two gears on the board?
No, you can only swap gears that are directly adjacent to each other. Diagonal swaps or swapping across the board is not allowed.
