More about this game
Your goal is to survive 12 quarters as the Chief Financial Wyrm for a dragon. Read incoming tax cases—like claiming a lava moat as a home office—and decide whether to approve or reject them. Every choice shifts the dragon's Gold hoard, their Anger, and your Royal Audit Risk. As quarters pass, the financial pressure and anger penalties scale up. A run ends in victory after 12 quarters, or in defeat if Anger reaches 100% or Gold drops to 0.
Tips
- Keep Audit Risk below 60%. If an audit triggers, the crown seizes 25% of your gold and increases the dragon's anger by up to 20 points.
- Hire advisors wisely. A Gold Auditor costs 28 gold, while an Anger Inspector costs 24, but their estimates can save you from a fatal decision.
- Rejecting cases usually increases Anger, so balance it with approvals to stay below 100%, especially in later quarters when the difficulty multiplier increases.
Questions
What happens if Audit Risk gets too high?
If Audit Risk exceeds 60%, you might trigger a Royal Tax Raid. This event seizes 25% of your current gold, spikes the dragon's anger, and resets your audit risk to a lower baseline.
How do I win the game?
You must survive all 12 quarters, handling 5 to 7 cases per quarter. You win if you finish the final quarter without letting Dragon Anger reach 100% or Gold drop to 0.
What do the advisors do in the shop?
Between quarters, you can spend gold to hire specialists. For example, the Reject Anger Inspector reveals the estimated anger impact if you reject a case, showing if the risk is low, medium, or high.
