In Neon Blade Reflex, you must defend against a relentless onslaught of enemies by parrying their attacks to the beat. Watch the visual cues and execute taps, holds, or directional swipes at the exact right moment. As you progress through the boss network, the attack patterns become more complex and the tempo increases. You start with 5 integrity points, and a run ends when your integrity is depleted by missing too many parries. Defeating bosses unlocks new signature weapons and progresses the campaign.
Tips
- Early parries are safe and still award some coins, but perfect timing grants the maximum 300 coins.
- Double-tap attacks require you to tap in the correct zone (upper or lower half of the screen).
- Pay attention to the boss's attack tempo; it increases as their health gets lower.
Questions
How do I unlock new swords?
You can unlock new swords in the Blade Shop using coins earned from successful parries. Some signature weapons are unlocked by defeating specific bosses.
What happens if I miss a parry?
Missing a parry resets your combo multiplier and reduces your integrity by one. If your integrity reaches zero, the run ends.
What is Endless Mode?
Endless Mode is a continuous rhythm challenge where you face an infinite swarm of enemies. The tempo and difficulty increase as you defeat more enemies.
