More about this game
Neon Block Marathon is a synthwave puzzle game where you stack falling glass tetrominoes on a 10x20 grid. Your goal is to clear lines and score points. Every 10 lines cleared increases your level, making the blocks fall faster. The starting drop time is 900 milliseconds, but it gets significantly faster as you progress. You can hold one piece in reserve to use later. The run ends when the blocks stack past the top of the grid.
Tips
- Hard dropping a piece instantly locks it and awards 2 points per row dropped.
- Clear 4 lines at once to score a massive point bonus. The base score for clearing 4 lines is 1200 points multiplied by your current level.
- Use the hold queue to save a straight line piece for when you need it.
Questions
How does the speed increase?
Every 10 lines you clear, your level increases. This multiplies the gravity speed, making pieces fall faster.
What happens if I soft drop?
Soft dropping makes the piece fall 18 times faster than normal gravity, and you earn 1 point for every row it drops.
Can I hold a piece?
Yes, you can hold one piece in reserve. You can swap it with the current falling piece, but you can only do this once per drop.
