How to play

- Watch enemy attack telegraphs carefully to time your potion usage or prepare for the hit.
- Equip new weapons, shields, and charms found during your ascent to boost your stats.
- Spend Talent Points after death to permanently increase your base health, mana, and attack power.

Dungeon Ascension is a roguelite RPG where you fight through endless floors of monsters. You attack and cast elemental skills on cooldown while managing your HP and MP. Enemy health and damage scale up as you reach deeper floors. Every 5 floors features a boss with an elemental ward you must break using the correct magic. As you climb, you find better weapons, shields, and charms. When your health runs out, the run ends, but you keep your Talent Points to permanently upgrade your starting stats for the next descent.
Tips
- Save your mana for boss fights. Hitting a boss with the correct elemental skill breaks their ward, stuns them for 2.4 seconds, and increases damage taken by 30%.
- Equipping a shield gives you a chance to auto-block incoming damage, reducing the hit by up to 75%. Different shields offer varying block chances and armor bonuses.
- Build up your combo meter by landing consecutive hits quickly. Reaching higher combo tiers grants a damage bonus, up to a maximum of 45% at 18 hits.
Questions
How do I unlock new classes?
You unlock the Mage at hero level 5 and the Rogue at level 10. You can switch your class in the pause menu before starting a new run to access different weapons and skill modifiers.
What do elemental crystals do?
Crystals boost your base stats like Strength, Agility, or Intelligence. They also change your basic attack's element, helping you exploit enemy weaknesses for 50% more damage.
How do I get Talent Points?
You earn 1 Talent Point every time you level up and 1 bonus point for every boss you defeat. Spend them in the main menu to permanently upgrade your hero.
