More about this game
Your goal is to survive five waves of enemies and defeat the Clay Shogun. As foes walk down the bridge, you must wait until they enter the glowing strike circle before attacking. Basic enemies require a simple slash, but shield bearers must be blocked first to break their guard. The game gets harder as enemy speed increases with each wave. The run ends in victory if you read all six of the boss's cues, or in defeat if you lose your three hearts to mistimed inputs.
Tips
- Do not mash buttons. You have a 150-millisecond input buffer, so wait for the exact moment the enemy enters the 145-radius strike window.
- Shield enemies require two steps. Hit block when they are near the circle to open their guard, then immediately follow up with a slash.
- During the boss fight, you have 1.15 seconds to react to each cue. Wait for the flash before pressing block or slash.
Questions
How do I beat the Clay Shogun?
The boss appears after wave 5 and requires six successful hits. Watch the screen for a shield or blade flash cue, then press the matching block or slash button before the 1.15-second timer runs out.
Why am I losing hearts when I attack?
You lose a heart if you attack too early or too late. The enemy must be inside the glowing strike circle. You also take damage if you try to slash a shield enemy without blocking first.
How does the combo system work?
Every successful hit adds to your combo multiplier. Regular enemies grant 100 points multiplied by your combo, while boss hits grant 350 points. Taking damage resets your combo back to zero.
