Your goal is to survive the chasing Moon for as long as possible to set a high score. The core loop revolves around managing two states: a safe Light mode where the Moon rests at the center, and a dangerous Dark mode where the timer runs and the Moon hunts you down. As you spend more time in the dark, the Moon's base speed of 250 steadily increases by 8 units per second. A run ends immediately when the Moon gets within 148 pixels of your night-light.
Tips
- The Moon's speed increases by 8 units every second you spend in the dark, capping out at an additional 180 speed.
- Use Light mode to safely reposition your night-light to the far edges of the screen before flipping back to Dark mode.
- When using the keyboard, each arrow key press moves your night-light exactly 80 pixels. Tap rapidly to build distance from the Moon.

How do I increase my time?
Your timer only goes up while you are actively in Dark mode. You must risk being chased by the Moon and dodge its attacks to set a high score.
Does the Moon get faster?
Yes, the Moon starts at a base speed of 250 and steadily accelerates by 8 units per second the longer you stay in Dark mode, up to a maximum.
Can I stay in Light mode forever?
You can, as you are completely safe and the Moon returns to the center in Light mode. However, your timer will not increase until you switch back to the dark.
