More about this game
In Deep Dig: Treasure Hunter, your primary goal is to descend as far as possible into procedurally generated mines, collecting valuable gold, emeralds, and ancient relics. The core loop revolves around careful energy management. Every block you mine and every hazard you hit drains your energy reserve, with harder rock costing more. You must climb back to the surface before your energy reaches zero to bank your full haul. Between expeditions, spend your hard-earned coins on permanent upgrades like better pickaxes, larger energy reserves, and powerful active abilities to help you survive the deeper, more dangerous layers.
Tips
- Upgrade your Lantern Range early in the shop to spot valuable ores, hidden treasure rooms, and dangerous hazards from much further away.
- Avoid stepping into lava or getting hit by falling rocks, as they can take massive chunks out of your limited energy reserve.
- Use the Explosive Mining active tool to instantly clear a 3x3 area of blocks without spending any extra energy on digging.
Questions
What happens if my energy runs out?
If your energy reaches zero while you are still underground, the expedition ends immediately and you will only keep 40% of the coins you collected during that run.
How do I use my active tools?
Once you unlock them in the surface shop, you can activate tools by pressing the number keys 1-6 or by tapping their respective icons on the screen.
What are the different underground layers?
As you dig deeper, you will transition from Dirt to Stone, Crystal Caves, Lava Pools, and Ruins. Each new layer features harder blocks that cost more energy to mine, but they also hide much richer loot.
