More about this game
INKBOUND: First Blood is a turn-based card battler where you face off against the Hollow Maw and its minions. Each turn, you draw exactly five cards and have three energy to spend on strikes, defense, and heavy bashes. You must carefully manage your block points to survive incoming attacks while whittling down enemy health pools. The battle ends in victory if you successfully dissolve all four enemies, or defeat if your starting eighty health drops to zero.
Tips
- Defend cards cost one energy and give five block. Use them when the Hollow Maw is preparing its massive twelve-damage attack to survive the hit.
- Bash costs two energy, deals eight damage, and applies two vulnerability. Follow it up with a Strike on the same turn for fifty percent more damage.
- Keep a close eye on enemy intents. The Cultist will add seven block to an ally instead of attacking, making it harder to defeat them.
Questions
How does my energy work?
You start each turn with exactly three energy. Cards cost energy to play: Strike and Defend cost one energy each, while the powerful Bash card costs two energy.
What happens when I run out of cards?
When your draw pile is empty, your discard pile is automatically shuffled and becomes your new draw pile, allowing you to keep drawing five cards every turn.
How do I win the battle?
You must defeat the Hollow Maw with forty-two health, the Cultist with twenty-eight health, and the two Ink Minions with fourteen health each before your eighty health runs out.
